Beenox ha released a new video for The Amazing Spider-Man in which executive producer Brent Nicholas discusses how Manhattan is literally Spidey’s playground in the action title. Watch it below, courtesy of EvilAvatar. The Amazing Spider-Man is due on practically every platform in conjunction with the film’s June release.

Looks to be going back to it's Spider Man 2 roots that everyone wanted. Weather we'll get the twin trigger web slinging remains to be seen...

I always thought a mirrors edge style fps would make a brilliant Spidey game?.

Well it's got to be better than another third person cover based shooter....

Shattered Dimensions was one of the biggest surprises of 2010, portraying different interpretations of Spider-Man well and boasting solid gameplay. Whether Beenox can transfer that into a movie tie-in is another matter entirely though. I fear that the usual rushed development cycle will have us chalking this one up as yet another licensed misfire.

The end boss is a bit of a letdown, but is counterbalanced by the frankly awesome cameo at the very end.

Or at the beginning if you have it preordered in some places.

As for dual web slinging buttons, it's all done on one button with another allowing you to pinpoint where you want to go and Spider-Man automatically travelling to that spot. It works far better in my opinion.
