Inversion - Official thread of one page

Not heard a thing about this until the reviews started dropping in.

Sounds like average summer drought filler.

Which begs the question of how bad does the drought have to be before you start drinking piss?

Being a fan of TimeShift, I was excited for Inversion, but the following put me right off:

Inversion is a disparate collection of ideas grouped around the conceit of gravity. Some are more fleshed out than others, but none are executed to their fullest potential. You’ll use them when you have to, but more often than not Inversion is more satisfying when played as a straightforward shooter.

If the game is more fun to play when you're not using what's meant to be its main USP, then what exactly is the point in playing it at all?

How long do you reckon before it's under £20? It would still be a no.

Or sometimes its best to turn off the console, and go outside.

Fuck that shizzle, i work outside 50% of the time. I spent last Thursday night walking round a soaking wet field of oil-seed rape getting soaking legs, until midnight. Going out is over-rated.

:)

Marb, i dont know if you are aware but there are "filters" on the net that pick up certain words in sentences, I wouldn't got around putting FIELD, OIL, RAPE, SOAKING LEGS

Singularity used the time powers to great effect though and was a good game because of it. If you tried to play Singularity as a straightforward FPS all the way through you wouldn't get far.

Singularity is cracking hidden gem of a game. Had some seriously cool weapons.

Gamespot's review mentions a ridiculous, stupid and ridiculously stupid plot twist. Now someone needs to play Inversion so they can tell me what it is, because it really can't be any worse than Bionic Commando's "OMGZ MY BIONIC ARM IS ACTUALLY MY DEAD WIFE!!!!111" twist.

Seriously? I never played Bionic Commando and I won't... But seriously?

Like in MGS2 where Ocelots arm is Liquid Snake?

Well reading the WIki, the story does have something about searching a one of the characters missing son.

Maybe gravity is the son...
