The Walking (Shuffling) Dead OT

Well this snuck out without much fanfare. Thought the TV series was ace and although I haven't read any of the comic books, really liked the art style.

I've downloaded the demo, so I'll be giving it a bash later. Thoughts maybe later too, depending on how drunk I am.

Watched some stuff on youtube the other day, this looks like the most boring and ugly release of the year. It's like they couldn't decide if they wanted it to be point and click, so just made it shit instead.

Would love to have been at that meeting.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

I loved this game. It looks and sounds like it was built on a lunch money budget, but I got sucked into and eagerly await the next installment.
I guess you do have to be a fan of the point and click genre at the least to enjoy it.

Well it's getting good reviews pretty much everywhere - 8's and 9's from most sites.

I still haven't played it yet! Fifa 12 still has me in it's evil grasp.

Yep enjoying what I've 'played' so far as a narrative experience, although there is not much there in terms of actual gameplay. It's a point n click game in it's simplest form, with no puzzles and few action sequences thrown in to spice things up a bit. It is like playing an interactive graphic novel, and makes a refreshing change to what is currently out there. It's very violent, and I said a swear word, I did. This a kinda game the could of been 'better with Kinect'. Can't grumble for 400 points.

Yeah, this is it's charm for me. I needed someone to say it before I understand why it had grabbed me. I played it through once and felt like it was my own little story, not sure how different things would be if I had a second go with different choices... I'd rather not find out incase it ruins the illusion

Yeah. enjoyed this. Cheeky little 400ms points. Quite tense at points, and liked the choice branches.

Hmm, pretty interested in this now I know what it actually is. Read the first two graphic novels in the series and although I enjoyed them, I didn't quite enjoy them enough to warrant spending pretty much a tenner per volume for the rest.

400 MSP is seeming like a great price though especially with an added bit of interactivity and I would like to see where the story goes.

The car park scene is amazing, really tense. The characterization and emotion in some scenes is also very good for a video game.

I like how they got the feel of the TV series and comic books, in that as well as fighting zombies you are in as much danger from the group of people your are with.

Does anybody know when Episode 2 is out?

Johnny. Are you really quoting a 6 month out of date Skyrim meme?

Really?

Ahh, didn't realise it was episodic... Does anyone know if the episodes the same as the graphic novel episodes?

@ Clown - It's not 6 months old to me and it's taken you this long to notice it? So rack off. :D

@ Tom - I believe this is a new story set in the world and with the same art style (except it's not black & white) as the graphic novels.
