By george there is a lot of pork swordmanship in this game! So far I've smashed the back-end off two hookers and Triss the foxy redheaded scorcerer!

Top notch cuts scenes!

As an aside the game is pretty damn good as well!

Definitely worth it mate, doubt you'd regret it.

I completed this Saturday night, was genuinely upset at how it ended. Not Mass Effect 3 pointless ending upset but the game series is following a group of novels, I want more upset.

Port number one and do an enhanced edition of that too.

You want more...upset? :? The games aren't so much an adaptation of the books as continuing the story from where they ended. They're very much their own tale. For what it's worth, I like the way it ends even if it's leaving the door wide open for the next one.

Also, they've already done an enhanced edition of the first one and already attempted porting it to 360 ages back. Enjoyable though it is, it is not up to the standards of the second game and not sure it would be as accessible. There is however a video about on the web that goes over the story of the first one, to help newcomers catch up.

And just as one final nitpick...the quote in your sig does not come from Zoltan Chivay.

Sorry that was some piss poor articulation on my part. I meant as in I didn't want it to end, was the first and only game in a long time that had me hooked and wanting to just keep on playing... the ending is quite open and I'm genuinely enthusiastic to see what happens.

*Spoilers*

Also I'm truly intrigued to see what the south and the Empire is like, it comes across as a great big medieval police state.

*\Spoilers*

Basically for me it felt like playing ME1 or DA:O for the first time again.

Ah my bad will fix it now, couldn't remember who exactly said it so I just thought of Zoltan, seemed like something he would say; I'm still unsure though do you know if it was Cecil?

@Keep, I thought that was what you meant but just had to be certain. Yeah, it's a great hook of a game. They've certainly done a stellar job of setting up the story of the next one, especially with the quests in the third chapter and the extended ending. Nilfgaard is certainly largely unexplored at this point and is ripe for a third game.

And I'm not sure but I think it's Skalen Burdon.

I'm quite enjoying the story. The world is quite generic (elves in the woods, Scottish dwarves) but the overall tale is nicely spun. And not too many distractions neither.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

Laughed wholeheartedly at this last night... when having a QTE fight with a local in the inn, heard one of the onlookers shout

"KICK 'IM IN THE BALLS !!".

Reminded me of the climax of 'the Naked Gun' when same line is shouted during fight in front of the Queen...
Brilliant game...

Things like that remind me quite heavily of Fable, especially when shouted in a regional British accent.

In a good way, mind.

Well it's not that visible to me here, on Linux, with this monitor and that's all that matters. Yes it is.

To be sure to be sure, I'm on my second play through going to go Roche's path and really take my time on it this time round. Have some regrets on the ending I got with the Scoi'etal, I should of killed more people basically! :)

I'm fed up winning fights only for a cutscene to show me I've lost.

Yep I agree there, it seems that this is the only way the main protagonist and villain can have a confrontation earlier in the game.
