Still not floating my boat.

Prolly doesn't help that I've only recently finished Gears of War 3.

Interest has gone up a notch. Was planning on picking up GOW3 soon, might get this instead.

I'd go with GOW3 Over this, but then ME3 is round the corner, licking its lips and beconing me over so they could both do one.

Don't think Tom is looking to get ME3 straight away H.

I'd go for GoW3 too, mainly cos it would be cheaper.

No, not going for ME3 'till it inevitably drops in price which shouldn't take long. Got about a third of ME2 to finish first.

You're right about Gears3 being cheaper Johnny which is a plus side but tbh, I'd rather play PD by the looks of things and it'll be cheap too very soon.

Aside from all of those, my most necessary next purchase is SSX.

i picked this up yesterday and have put about 4-5 hours in and i'm really enjoying it. it is basically gears of war 3 but in a futurstic tokyo with billions of killer robots but it's pretty solid shooting action with a pretty decent story.

the bosses get progressively bigger and more insane and it's got a nice subtle japanese flavour to it little sounds and menu layouts.

the story is interesting, a little too much cut scenes for my personal taste but there is some genuinely funny moments usually caused by the camp french robot cain

definetly worth a playthrough at any rate and as i say it is a gow 3 clone and isn't ground breaking but it good fun. it's a bit like a slowed down vanquish really.

yeah i really enjoyed this game, was a bit short though but the third person shooting action was solid, wish the combat in mass effect 3 was more like this.

dunno if i said earlier but a bit like a slowed down vanquish really

Finished this today. Although I haven't read the 360 review, 8/10 seems spot on.
KInda agree with Stiks that it's a bit short but I also think any more would probably have started to drag.

For what it's worth I reckon they managed a more than competent tps which keeps up with all the modern western space marine tps staples (good cover mechanic, solid shooting, good range of weapons, just enough customization etc etc...) and does them all very well.

The ability to shoot robots to pieces with first their armour then limbs flying off and have them still stagger, sway and pull themselves along the floor towards you until their finally finished off with a satisfying explosion was great fun. Also shooting their heads off and turning them on others of their kind is a fun and useful addition.

Most impressive for myself though was the story. No, it wasn't a literary masterpiece but for dumb, space marine tps fodder it had enough twisty-turney Sci-Fi/nation state/big corporation based conspiracy stuff in their to keep me interested 'till the end, the humour was good and (a rare thing for a Japanese game these days)... It made sense.

The only things that stop me scoring it higher are the fact that it didn't have AAA graphics and that the weapon system was a bit limiting. But only a wee bit.
