I said a few pages back that I hoped the game implied consequences on the player for exploration. Say you have 5 places to explore with a side quest for each. But with the reapers invading you can only do three and the two planets you chose not to visit get blasted to pieces. Apart from the impact of losing entire planets storywise those planets may have had valuable resources, tech or troops to help with the war effort. The player naturally forfeiting these by their own choice and not the developer dictating which planets are doomed and nowt the player can do about it.

Why wouldn't doing it that way make any sense?

Mass Effect was a balanced action/rpg. Where as now its an Action/rpg.

There is that consequence for your forces thing, but it's more through your choices in missions and side missions than exploration. For example, I made a pretty important choice about 15 hours ago, gameplay time, thought I'd done real good - just now it's come back with unforeseen consequences that bit me in the ass and left my jaw hanging in a "nooooooooooo" moment.

And they've threaded this one really well. Whether you performed, and how you completed loyalty missions in 2 has an effect here, sometimes to an extreme level, sometimes through conversations. I'm baffled how some of these missions will happen in my save where everyone except Jacob died.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

Did you deliberately leave him alive or did you somehow stumble do this by accident?

Or you could use a save game editor?

A terrible, terrible accident. I tried to kill them all, and yet there he was at the end, grinning like an idiot. Imagine having no friends except him, Kaiden Alenko and James Vega.

*Shudder*.

Well I quite enjoyed the ending.

[42 hours btw, if that matters - just checked my ME2 saves and they average 32 hours, so you know].
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

Now where would be the fun in that? I'm also going to bump Ashley off to see what Kaiden has to say for himself in 2 & 3...

Was just throwing it out there as a time saving alternative! :)

Frankly Kaidan ain't got much too say, I still hate him since the first game though.

  This is seriously one of the funniest things I've read, I'm bookmarking this so I never forget it

Keep: I thought he was much better this time around, wasn't too big on him in the first game but felt he was a lot more interesting this time. It's just a shame that [Spoilers!] it took him getting beaten half to death before I actually gave a shit!

The ending sucked but luckily I'm not mental and I found it quite easy to get over it.

Aye. I liked it meself, thought of ME3 itself as the ending, not just the last few cutscenes. Can see why others don't like it but every comments section of every site is filled to the brim with whining mentallers. And as for raising money to have the ending changed? Get a grip, lads. Way to go in dismissing the stereotype of gamers as sad, immature teenage boys.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.
