Oh yeah - the story in ME2 was utter crud. I fully expect the same from 3 and I have resigned myself to my prior choices being cosmetic this time. But because I'm not expecting it, I can't be disappointed, unlike with 2 where the whole thing was marketed as continuing your choices from 1 and then they hid the Council away in case the question of you killing / saving them was raised.

(CUT TO: Shepherd walks past a man, the man says "Hey Shep-baby, way to save the Reper Tch for Cerberus!" with no further mentions of it again)
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

Howdle's given it a 9/10. But then he doesn't come on here any more to tell us these things. He's RUNNOFT.

Also, he really doesn't like Jessica Chobot.

But most shockingly of all - he says it's better with Kinect.

Kill him my minions.

I played the demo with Kinect and it works... Well.

Any how, the thing with Mass effect 1 to 2 is the story is very diffrent so the gameplay is going to reflect that.
1 was all about discovery and being put on this quest, 2 was about a war with a race of human harvesting aliens.
The middle of any trilogy suffers from not having a solid conclusion or leaving the gamer feeling fully satisfied.

As for cutting out 30 diffrent types of armoured trousers I'm all for that personally...

I dunno, I like to get up of a morning and choose between the Clanging Troosers of Doom and the Ultimate Undies of Death.

Haha, given a choice I'd go for the crutchless chaps of chaos... Let's see the reapers handle the silk gusset on those bad boys.

Also my copy is sitting in the shrink wrap still, I'm gonna finish The Darkness first though, brilliant game that.

that's me 5 hours in to me3 now and i must say it is a mixed bag for me at the moment. i'm loving the rpg/story element but i'm a bit let down by the combat sections. it's nearly identical to me2 and 2 years ago that was fine but cover based shooters have evolved since then and the combat just doesnt hold up to recent titles such as binary domain. it just feels really clunky.

one area me3 beats binary domain hands down though is the kinect voice recognition, it was really broken in binary domain to the point i switched it off but i've used it for every command in me3 and it's worked without fail. it also feels really natural when you're getting your ass shot to pieces just to say attack and your squad mates jump in.

still feel a bit like a tool doing it mind but that's fading over time, i can see this being the way forward the more used to it we get

overall though i am really enjoying it and it looks lovely

I stumbled across the issue where Shephard's face doesn't carry over from your ME2 save file. Luckily I managed to pretty much recreate the exact same likeness just because the create-a-character settings dont allow for too much dramatic changing. But still a pain.

I didn't have a problem importing my Shepard's face, when I was importing her, instead of accepting the imported face I went into customise appearance, she had the same face it didn't revert to default I changed about two things to make her easier to look at for the next 40 odd hours and bang it's still the same face? Try importing then customising and don't change anything if you don't want too, it should work.

Oh and about 12 or so hours in enjoying it but then I did enjoy ME2, still hate scanning though, it's absolutely pointless and shoehorned in due to lack of a better idea.

Is this back for ME3? It's one of things that put me off replaying ME2.

You fly around a system and hit the scan button to send a pulse out. If it uncovers anything, you can stop and do the scanning minigame to find it. Takes about 30 seconds tops.

And just to confirm, you can't get the best ending without multiplayer, so have fun with that guys. Not that the best ending is particularly different.

I did try that because I was going to change his haircut, but that was when it dawned on me that my guy was now a bearded black guy.

Anyone noticed the horrendous cardboard cut out characters in the background of some areas yet?
