Assassin's Creed: Revelations

Postby Bob on Mon Nov 14, 2011 5:15 pm

Sorry guys, I appear to have been a bit slack of late in the FIRST PLAY folder.

Anyhow.. here's the Eurogamer review.

Unsurprisingly as the udders of the franchise start to bleed the wheels start to wobble on the main campaign. It's not always a case of more is more.. sometimes.. more is er.. less.

Anyhow. I want it. I just don't want it now. For the first time since the franchise first dropped.. as I believe the kids are saying.

Yeah, I also feel the pain.

But still 7/10 is a good score. Just not worthy of displacing Skyrim from my next play list

It's an ok score.. but the it's a definite downward spiral.

Surely 5/10 is an average score. 7/10 would be good just not exceptional... Oh we've been here before haven't we

5/10 = Actual average score. 7/10 = Score reviewers feel is average or one given most frequently.

As always, I think it's better to read a review than a score. You'll always glean more about whether the game is for you that way.

As always it depends how you define average. There's at least three mathamatical valid types. (or so I seem to remember from school.) Mean and Median (again as I understand it) would support 5 as being the average score for games scored out of 10 but the Mode average would support 7 as it's the score mostly frequently given to average games.

Surely the median score would be 5?

I reckon that the average may also be around the 5 mark as a lot of games are given quite low marks.

Hmm.

Most mags give a 6 or a 7 as average. Obviously good ones don't.

This has tower defence in it. Don't want it no more.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.
