Phew...

After looking in to it (thank's Google) it seems that the elder scroll was still in the Occulary at Mzark. I hadn't picked it up when completing the previous mission.

Serves you right for poncing round doing nothing but side quests. The scare did you good....

I hate it when games do that. It's even worse when it is an actual game breaking glitch and you lose hours of play time.

If it had been, I'd have traded it in. I've no idea how many hours I've put into it so far...

Check the stats page in the game, it should tell you there.

It's all good... I finished the Main story earlier.

Got a quite a few more side quests to do. The Shill/Burglary/Numbers... etc. to get the 'cheeve for restoring the Guild to it's former Glory.

Then the only 'cheeves left will be escape from jail, get a bounty of 1000 in each hold and learn 20 shouts.

Had a bit of an annoying session last night.

I went and found the book for the grumpy old guy in the Hogwarts library but because I've progressed the main story line there he wont say anything apart from commenting on the big blue magic ball thing. So I can't complete it.

No problem I'll progress that story line. Spent ages in the labryinth but I can't kill the guy at the end.. checked a FAQ and my archery skills aren't really up to it.. Had to walk all the way back out again.

The problem seems to be that although i'm level 30 I've spent my points on too wide a range of things because I've tried to be all speechy and lock picky stealthy and a bit two handed a bit magicky and a bit archery-ish. Probably would've been better to focus on one thing.

Oh and I've still got a list of quests as long as my arm.

When I was trying to clear up my backlog of side quests I ended up starting more as fast as I was finishing them... It will take a while.

It always pissed me off when people said they were bogged down with too many quests in games like Skyrim and Fallout - that's was one of the fantastic things about it IMO.

I wasn't complaining.. i'm not bogged down.. I'm impressed that at level 30 and 50+ hours there's still a fair bit to do.. although apparently now I've done the thieves and darkbrotherhood most of the Hogwarts there's only side and main quests left?? Then onto the misc stuff.

What about The Blades, The Bards, Civil War, Daedric, Dungeon, Bounty and Global quests? If that's all you've done, there's loads more for you to do :)

Bring it on.. Although I'm not sure what these Dungeon, Bounty and Global quests are?

To be fair I'm probably getting a bit bored of all the infernal loading now.. Probably time to leave it for a bit.

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Quests_(Skyrim)

Can find all the info there, but Bounty quest are often given by talking to bartenders (basically go there, kill that).

Dungeon quests are simply quests that relate to a specific dungeon, unless you set off with the intention of finding them you'll most likely just happen upon them

And Global are often "find this and that, here and there", dunno if they even appear on your quest list, I think you get them by asking people about rumours and that.
