Hmmm, this bit where you're on a bridge and there's a big bird type thing flying around. Apparently it's impervious to damage, then it shoots a couple of red shards down and the darkness falls. Which I would've thought would be your cue to attack its big demon blood bubble, but it flies around too fast to take aim. So I keep on hitting the shards with my Johnson (stop it at once), except sometimes they stick in the side of the bridge and are nigh on impossible to get to because they're out of reach of your melee attack unless you're just in the right place. All the time your energy's getting sapped, and every time I chug on a tequila I think it's an indication that I just don't really know what I'm supposed to be doing.

So at the moment, I'm stuck. It certainly has its ups and downs, this game.

@Havant: I found the dentist works best against that bird.

Cheers Eli, the teether does seem to be the most effective weapon (especially as it's been upgraded to multiple barrels). But the real problem was that I thought I wasn't damaging it in the light, because it doesn't give a lot of visual feedback to show it's taking damage when getting hit in the belly. I probably should have noticed, but then again maybe playing it late at night while tired didn't help ...

The first boss doesn't give anything away when you kick it's arse, either.

Shite game, to be honest... seems a bit too try hard.

Nah, It's a great game. It was only when I replayed it on the harder difficulty that I realised quite how well everything was done. First time I got annoyed with bits that are actually very clear on hints and what you have to do.

And a very funny one to. That farting horse still makes me chuckle everytime I think about it.

I just got this for lack of anything else to play. Better be good or yer all dead. You hear me? Dead.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

It's good. Not great (although the potential is certainly there) but good.

It's a fun romp as long as you don't expect it to re-invent the wheel.

I don't, I just wanted some semi decent tiding over. So far so good, I like the little touches.

(I don't like an inability to pause cutscenes, the worst crime ever committed by the Japanese).
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

Boss fights go on a little too long. Although that applies to all Japanese games.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.
