I know there'll be a lot of sales but not Wii-like levels by a long chalk

I'm completely with you dude..

The Wii was like hula hoops or rubix cubes or deely boppers.. a craze.

Never gonna happen again.

I stare at the one I got for my kids and for the 24 minutes it was used in the last month. Plus the games that are out have been crap and shovel ware. It was a complete fluke and from what I have seen of the new one it looks like a gash idea. A controller thats massive and you can swap the screen to your TV?

Wow just wow.

I, for one, am not bothering. I'm sure Nintendo will weep over a lost sale

Agree with you guys about how the Wii U won't sell as much but at the same time I don't think it'll do bad at all. Nintendo have enough brand loyalty to keep them going, having Mario and Zelda and all that gives them guaranteed sales. But yeah, it's not going to be the same success that it was before but it's not going to do bad.

Tell that to the gamecube.

The Wii was a success because it was a fad, like trivial pursuit or rubix cubes, everyone bought one because everyone had one.

The Wii wasnt a game changer or a turning point in gaming history, it has the same impact of gamers as a tamagotci

Nintendeo will always be successful because of their loya army of idiots who's soul purpose is to play the same game over and over and over and never question why, its what they rely on.

I used to think Nintendo were very clever & innovative in the way they always made the next Mario or Zelda with some new ideas or
gaming mechanics.

Now I see it for what it is, its a clever ways to dust off old shit, give it a little polish & selling it back to people, its not innovative its lazy,
risk less & dull.

That may or may not be, but you can't deny the pacing's always spot on.

Sony won't be going anywhere anytime soon, this just means they need to be more careful with where they throw their money. Bearing in mind that there was a quake AND a bunch of bedroom trolls making life difficult for them... they have done well to come through.

Nintendo are still the most innovative IMO, just because they keep releasing Mario and Zelda games does not change that. Pretty much everything that has made games the way they are today, and in the next few years has came from Nintendo, right down from Analogue sticks to 3D and like it or not, prancing about in front of the telly.

But yeah, the new Battlefield game is far more innovative because that building blows up into five pieces instead of four.
