Harebrained Schemes has started a project to reinvent Shadowrun, those of you old enough to remember should be as excited as I am, I can't wait.

Wasn't Shadowrun that totally awesome game that everyone hated where you could jump and have a glider and everything?

Not as far as I remember. The truly awesome version was the one that came out on the SNES back in the day. From the sounds of it, it'll be that version and the graphic novels they'll be using for the new version.

The Police Warfare Kickstarter has been cancelled without explanation. (do you think the $300,000 short fall maybe something to do with it?? Just saying like..)

After raising just $25,025 of its $325,000 goal, Elastic Games cancelled funding with a short note: "Thank you so much for the incredible response to the game. We're shutting down the kickstarter account but this is by no means the end of Police Warfare. News will be coming."

You have to laugh.. Tim Schaefer raises approximately 84 billion dollars and suddenly every games internet site is awash with news stories and opinion pieces on how publishers are washed up in this brave new age.

Then every man and his dog starts a Kickstarter.. sadly it doesn't always end well.. publishers can sleep well once again.

It could mean they got a publisher? The game itself is an interesting enough concept.

Indeed. And good luck to them.

I was more interested in the Kickstarter short fall really.

Aye, every Tom, Dick and Harry who think they have an interesting concept are trying to bank in.

Problem is there was a reason why most of these games wouldn't be taken on by a publisher.
