Which is fair enough. That said, I do think its pretty obvious that both companies are trying to get ahead of each other. I'm not expecting either company to openly discuss things with official statements. They are too busy playing things down to see what the other ones up to.

They are both just playing the PR game at the moment & people are getting caught up in it, Sony dont want current PS3 owners thinking "Wow! the next xbox is gonna
be incredible!" and vice a verse so it just ends up being a big mixing pool of bollocks & half truths.

I just dont see the point in adding to that, once something is officially announced at a big conference then I'll get excited & interested.

More Concrete news on Next BOX!!

Microsoft's Xbox 360 successor will require a constant connection to the internet in a bid to combat piracy, according to reports.

VG247 sources claim that Microsoft has "fully detailed" its new console to select thirdparties, with a view to launching in time for Christmas 2013. As previous reports have claimed, the console will use Blu-ray discs.

The sources claim that the machine will have two GPUs - one described it as being "like two PCs taped together" - that will be equivalent to AMD's 7000 series processors.

The report claims the new Xbox will have "four or six" CPU cores. One will be reserved for the OS, and another for Kinect, with sources claiming the Xbox 360 motion sensor will be built into the console.

Despite Microsoft's insistence that its sole current focus is Xbox 360, these are just the latest in a long line of rumours about the company's next console. Recent reports have claimed the device is codenamed Durango, and will somehow prevent used games from being played - something Sony is also exploring, if reports are to be believed.
