Chortle.

Havantgottaclue wrote:I suppose it depends how they package it up. If they release source code (doubtful) you could probably compile it not only on any Linux distro but any other Unix such as Solaris or FreeBSD (as long as the other necessary packages are in place or can be installed at the same time).
Given that that's unlikely it could either be distributed as a .deb or .rpm package which would run on Debian/Ubuntu or RedHat/SuSE/Mandriva etc. respectively. In fact there are some installers which are independent from the distro's package manager and therefore installs under any flavour of Linux.
The bigger problem is going to be the lack of DirectX - it looks as though there's a working version of Left4Dead 2 so obviously the Source Engine has been ported to OpenGL. I expect they're going to be looking at games that have been converted to Mac because I think those may use OpenGL.
We're so used to going to sleep with nightmares that we can't believe in waking up to a dream.

My experience is that you don't get that many workshy people in the civil service these days. Rarely (i.e. never) do I get to enjoy port and cigars with a delegation from HM Treasury, sadly ...
What you do get is petty squabbling, poor management, self-interestedness, egomania and blindness to long-term goals in abundance.
Probably I should fit in just fine. But at the moment I really don't like it at all.
