I can find a LIMBO thread around here, so here's my tuppence:
It wins full marks for style, that subtle and disturbing melancholic tone is original and the gameplay reminds me of classic 8-bit adventures. Like a dark, linear Dizzy game, I suppose. Only one real problem I have with it so far (I haven't finished it yet): because it is linear, if you get stumped by a puzzle you can't turn around and move down a different path to try another angle, then come back to the original puzzle with a fresh perspective. Playdead has effectively doged this by creating as imaginitive and inspiring a series of problems as possible, rather than focusing on increasingly devious invention. But the one time I did get stuck, it was really frustrating.
Anyway, well worth the 1200 points.
