XBLA House Party kicks off this week

Microsoft is set to launch its Xbox Live Arcade House Party promotion this week, beginning with the release of Konami's Hard Corps: Uprising on Wednesday.

The House Party Event will see a big downloadable game released on a weekly basis for the next five weeks, including Beyond Good & Evil HD on March 2.

Here are the release dates and pricing details. What will you be picking up?

Hard Corps: Uprising (Konami)

BG&E will be bought pretty much only by people who already played it. Or people who, like me, chucked their PS2 (was it even on PS2?) in a skip, never to be seen again. I will buy it. 800 points is a bargain. Will new people buy it though? Not a hope, and those that do, well, they'll wonder what this quaint little thing is with its story and its characters. The kind of thing that nerds like. And everyone knows the 'core aren't nerds. They're tough. Men's men.

BG&E is the only game there that I'm looking forward to. For whatever reason, I never played it the first time around and after watching/reading some stuff about it I'm eager to try it out.
