I'm still low level...

Not really been playing for long.

The account names "Vreltai" (It's the wifes account) and the character name is "Palerider"

I'm playing as engineer and at the moment I've only got the little escort ship you start with. I'll be honest, it probably wont be worth you sending me any stuff. Because the wife doesn't play it we'll close her account and I'll open my own...

Which will mean starting again...

No worries, the first 11 levels are the worst in the game, the games a hell of a lot better once you get out the shitty miranda.

I'm quite liking the shitty little miranda... I'm literally flying rings around Klingon battleships.

...until they blow me to smithereens.

I don't think I'll be switching accounts now.

Been promoted to lieutenent commander now and don't fancy starting again from scratch. I've asked them if it's possible to rename the account, though I'm not to fussed if I can't.

Got an escort at the minute... :D I haven't looked in the shop at all yet.

Loving this now that I've gotten round to mapping the controls to a 360 controller. It makes the combat much more intuitive (for me anyway). It was just a pain having to map all the buttons manually using the /bind command in the text window.

Yup. Just plug in a wired controller and away you go. Well, almost. As I said you still need to map the controls to the pad. Ther's a useful thread here.

It takes a bit to get your head around it but once you do it's a doddle.

edit: if you prefer you can buy a wireless adapter for your PC here that will let you use a wireless pad.
