Agree with Bob, still prefer going to the cinema.

And I doubt it Gugly...Looper looks cool and all but time travels always a convoluted plot device to use, difficult to really avoid all sorts of story issues with it. I'm not convinced that Loopers going to be anything other than a great deal of fun.

Obviously you've not been to the cinema in ages.

Even our local flea pit has lovely new seats, each with it's own cup holder and more leg room. Great sound and a truly massive screen. It's never quite the same at home no matter how big your telly is (keep telling yourself it's home cinema.. it's a big TV.)

Cinema are shit unless your in the IMAX, sitting with people who kick the back of your chair, rustle crisp packets & check their mobile phones every five minutes or
they are getting up for a piss so you all have to move ruins my experience, be fcuked if im paying to sit through that.

At home I have a HD 3D projector that's about 90" on the wall looks stunning, 7.1 surround sound, beer in the fridge big leather sofa, & at the end of it i own the film I'm watching.

Fixed!

You obviously haven't been to the cinema in a while old man. Not to worry.

Normally, I would totally agree with you. However, I have complete faith in Rian Johnson (Brick, is an absolute fucking masterpiece) and I'm rather excited at the notion that Gordon-Levvit (Alongside Tom Hardy, one of the THE most promising actors around today IMO) says it's without a doubt his favourite thing he has worked on.

But yeah, Prometheus will be amazing.

So it's changed.. Grown up. It's better than it used to be. Maybe you should give things a chance before writing them off. Still it's up to you.

Plus you are seeing the film first. In some cases that's worth the money alone. I would rather see The Dark Knight Rises on the big screen first then wait for it to come on TV later.

TV?.. what is this the 80's?! haha, the time between being on the cinema & coming to blu ray are so small now days its worth the wait to own it.

Look i've been to the cinema i went to see Watchmen, i had a cnut next to me texting & kids in front fucking about, unless they have a "No Cock's" policy at the door
then i'm out. But! if they did have that, then that would stop you seeing films before they come on the television or VHS!....

About 3 years ago then? Lol.

Not to worry chap. If it's not for you it's not for you.

I can still remember seeing Dances with Wolves and T2 on the big screen in the old days.. you just don't get the same experience in your lounge watching a TV.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I think Looper has a lot of talent behind it and is gonna turn out excellent. I just think Prometheus will do more for me than Looper but you never know with these things, maybe I'll be surprised.

A projector screen is hardly the same as watching it on a telly, have you ever watched a film on one Bob?

Yeah. It's hardly teh same as watching it at the cinema either is the point..

I just think calling you home set up a 'Home Cinema' is a bit.. erm.. wanky. It's a TV really. No matter how big it is. Or how many speakers you attach to it. A good one maybe.. but still a telly.
