I have to agree with Nolan Stretching things out. IMO The last Batman film should have ended with the Joker. Bringing in Two Face at the end should have been where the credits cut in and set it up for another film, what we got instead was another 40 odd mins or something and an extra story grafted to the arseend of a great film.

I half agree CW....i would have left two Face for number 3 also.

But, that said, i still quite liked the message of the end, Joker tearing down the most moral man there is to his level, batman stepping up and taking the blame. I thought that was really interesting.

I think its becuase Nolan had no intention of doing a number 3 and wanted to do that story, until they green lit his new small budget arthouse project (Inecpetion...you may have heard of it) so that he would.

The problem isn't with Nolan. It's an intrinsic Hollywood problem with chasing success. No one says 'No' to anyone whose had a hit movie.. hence Tarrantino can follow Kill Bills 1 and 2 with Inglorious Borefest and still no one will have a word in his shell like.

Dont think me and thee are going to agree here Bob.

I think Nolan is the closest thing to Stanely Kubrick we have working today. Hes an exceptional director who treats his audience with a degree of intelligence. As ive said before we should applaud such people (whether they fully suceed or not), given that most of Hollywood is populated by Michael Bay types who cant even spell the word 'character'.

As for Tarentino, i really liked Jackie Brown but i can take him or leave him really.

I thought that sequence was atonishingly well put together actually Bob. The quality of editing required to make that even seem coherant (given thats its 4 sequences in one) is alone worthy of praise.

If by amazingly well put together you mean hit over the head repeatedly with a concept we'd all grasped then we agree!

Me too, super exited. It is a teaser and as such doesnt show anything of any substance (such as the badguys helping Loki) or any major CG shots (as they are not even rendered yet). But im hopeful as the trailer strikes a fun but exiting tone. The Cap and Stark exchange in particular is fun and very fitting.
