I've seen the first 45 minutes or so. Interesting set up although a little out there. Not sure how it ends but I suspect it to have a decent twist. Seems a bit predictable too. Acting is good. Jolie and Depp work well together and have fairly good chemistry. Depp is looking old now and I lost interest in the Jolinator a long time ago.

Do they get lost and ask a local for directions? Have an argument about who and how to read the map? And other tourist clichés.

The Tourist is one of the worst films of the year.

127 Hours -
Very well made and quite gripping, despite really not much happening. The "scene" that everybody cares about is gruesome but you'll have all seen worse. For some reason though, those of a weaker disposition are fainting and collapsing during the movie. It's getting annoying. Stop being pansies.

Little Fockers -
Absolutely pointless addition to the series. Not very funny at all apart from one or two scenes, and it is HIGHLY predictable.

Tron: Legacy -
Great sci-fi fun. Sorry I haven't reviewed this earlier but it's almost useless to do so. You know if you're going to see this or not. At first, CGI Jeff Bridges looks like plastic. But Clu looks better. Maybe it's the lighting. Great action. Plot a bit silly. Not bad use of 3D, though the winner for that still goes to Piranha 3D. No I'm not joking. Okay, maybe Avatar.

Yes it's true! We had the ambulance in taking out some poor sod who couldn't handle it last week!

As for your question, I think the drama is so high and tense that you do feel sorry for him at the end. He went through a terrible ordeal and did a brave thing to escape and survive, so he's more hero than idiot. However, when you look back on it, he really shouldn't have gone out by himself with no satellite phone or telling anyone where he was heading to. Div.

The King's Speech -
Just watched it tonight (or was it last night?) Fantastic. Very watchable, gripping, touching and funny. Obviously Colin Firth is fantastic in it. Geoffrey Rush was also great. Not my usual cup of tea by a long shot, but it was very interesting and I really enjoyed it.

Black Swan -
Really intense, wonderfully acted. Scarier than I thought too. The cast is great, obviously Portman, but also Vincent Castell who plays the ballet mentor. It may be a little arty for some, so I'm not sure most of you will like it. It does for Ballet what Aronofsky did for pro wrestling with The Wrestler. This means a little too much boring ballet but it's pretty watchable. A lot more horror elements than I expected, done well. Also, fairly decent lesbian scene if that floats your boat.

The Fighter -
The first thing you'll notice is how amazing Christian Bale is. He's essentially become a crack addict on screen. The rest of the cast shouldn't be neglected, particularly the one who plays Walhberg's girlfriend. His mum is also very good too. Walhberg himself is an engaging lead but isn't as noticeable as Bale, who steals the show. The fight scenes are also not the best boxing we've seen in movies, but they serve their purpose well enough. It's a fairly typical rags to riches story but it's given real poignancy due to it's factual nature. Very good.

I thought this was marketing BS, like that old 'cinema makes people with weak heart sign waivers' story that I can't be arsed to google up...

So, is it really happening?!? if it is, l-o-fecking-l...

Our showing of Tron:Legacy was delayed 'cos someone had an epileptic fit during the previous screening...

Can't really be bothered for these anymore but here.

The Adjustment Bureau -
Quite good, interesting, funny. Casting is good, with nice chemistry betwix Damon and Blunt. Has decent suspense and plot.

Unknown -
Tone-wise, very similar to Taken but the plot is very different. Basically a mystery thriller, fairly typical amnesia-based antics. Also fairly predictable once you piece it together which I did about half-way but serves as a good head-scratcher in the meantime.

Rango -
Only seen a bit. Seems very good. Has that unfortunate atmosphere about it whereby I think it will appear to adults more than to kids. Kinda like Robert Zemeckis CGI films, they can never get the audience balance right. Enjoyable anyway.

West is West -
Sequel to East is East obviously. Mixed reviews from customers who are almost all Asian. Most prefer first one. I don't care.

Rango looks rubbish. I might be more inclined to see it if I didn't keep seeing the same "trailer" on TV, where all you see is things burping and laughing while the voiceover guy bangs on about how funny it is. Well if it's so fucking funny, show me something funny from it that'll make me want to see it.

I have no interest in West is West. East is East was overhyped, overrated toss which everyone in my school claimed was amazing simply because Goodness Gracious Me was popular at the time.

Haven't done a review in ages. Here goes.

Thor -
No doubt many of you have seen it already. I've seen it twice now. Personally, I thought it was great. Better second time round. No point watching it in 3D though, as it's one of those lazy last minute conversions. The sets are great, the acting is often fantastic, especially with Anthony Hopkins' Odin. Chris Hemsworth is a great leading man, and my new man-crush. The CGI is a little excessive and nothing special. Prosthetics are better. The Frost Giants are pretty cool and the story is good. It moves at a decent pace but the last act happens too quickly. It's as if they thought "oh look at the time, we better wrap this thing up. Skip ahead to final battle!' Idris Elba is badass as Heimdall, in a role bigger than I expected.

That leads me to my next point. I met Guy Ritchie at work last night. His girlfriend is so hot, and is the model behind the reporter chick in Heavy Rain.

Rio -
Really funny and entertaining. Great music.

Arthur -
Depends how much you like Russell Brand.

Rango is pretty good by virtue of being welll...wierd. Its unlike any animated film youve seen before. Not amazing but worth a watch.
