Did I mention the word comic?

We need to learn when to say "enough", rather than gluttonously devouring more and more of the same thing through sheer force of habit.

There are things that actual "proper" books do better than comics/graphic novels and vice versa.

Potential argument over.

I can see the heart and talent that went in to Kick *** .. Scott Pilgrim looked like something a kid would toss off in his lunch break.. neither of them would convert me from reading a proper novel.

Sound rationale for comment i suppose, just wondered thats all.

I wouldnt agree with you RE Scott Pilgrim, as the story and characters are great. But i can see why the art wouldnt be to everyones liking. Different strokes and all that.

The artwork was the one thing I didn't mind.

Very rude, but good.

I've just read a book called "Pride of Baghdad" about the lions in an Iraqi zoo when the US Invasion kicked off. Was surprisingly good!

And the Batman "No Mans Land" book is easily one of my favorites.

Sorry Optikal...i guess jokes about how cute his new son is or some anectdote about him visiting a shoe shop dont do it for me. You knock yourself out though geezer, we live in a free land and im clearly in a minority with MacIntyre anyway.

I'm currently playing through Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and am now subsequently very interested in reading Spider-Man: Noir. Vulture is fuuuuuucked up.

Kick Ass 2: balls to the wall is out soon i think.

Mark Millar has plans to make Red Mist the most reprehensible character ever, make Heath Ledgers joker look like a pussycat apparently.

Where is the best place on the net to get graphic novels from? Is it best to stick to good ol trusty Amazon or is there somewhere else that is just as cheap and reliable?
