Interesting.. I thought perhaps the first film was self contained enough not to be turned into a franchise and certainly the second one seemed to be something of a let down.. what was the third one like?

Feel free to tell us a little about it.

Not as good as the first two movies. This one is set in Las Vegas, and follows a few guys on a stag weekend. Similar storyline to the other two movies. Nothing special.
Seeking Justice - Nicolas Cage new movie is one to look out for. Great movie. As for Hostel 3, i wouldn`t bother, save your money

I Am Number Four

knew very little about this, aside from the Twightlight with aliens comparisons. I'm not interested in Twiglet in the slightest but quite enjoyed this. A run of the mill teen romance bookended with some really accomplished action scenes. And the bit with the dog nearly made me cry.
I also liked the way certain genre tropes were immediately dispensed with (no amnesia, no need for origin story, he isn't a weedy kid that learns to be tough etc).
Plus Timothy Olyphant is in it growling away like a kneeless dog.

3/5

The Descendants - *****

Film of the year so far for me. Clooney is at the top of his game. Emotional, Funny, Interesting. It's all of those things. Great supporting performances too. Especially from Beau Bridges.

The Change Up - ****

Big mixed with Face/Off.

Jason Bateman is always reliable but Ryan Reynolds really steps his game up. Very watchable.

Bateman's quality control is usually very high.

I can't remember him being in anything that didn't have some merit.

I'm not saying it's worth an oscar.

But on a thursday afternoon it was, as I say, watchable. Of course you could wait until it's on ITV and watch it for free and keep everyones favourite urchin happy.

Watched this over the weekend and loved it. I agree your always wondering whats going through his head. Kind of similar to watching Kevin Spacey in the Usual Suspects; where he's sat in the detectives office.

Off topic.

I wish more games would go this route.
