Ha, yeah but the game was shite tho. Extra time was better than the 90 mins that came before it.

Yes mate, it was a wash out, I think the finals gonna be shit too Spain's passing and possession game is dull as
Pigs swill and the Italians will be diving around like Max Payne with a spring up his arse.

Dude, sometimes I think you've been watching completely different games to me!

Yeah the Spanish have been generally dull to watch (ever since the World Cup imo), but the Italians diving around? Really? Maybe a couple of years ago, but certainly not at this tournament and no more than any other team.

Mark my words J, the Spanish will have the Italians chasing shadows, then the Italians will result to throwing themselves about to get cheap free kicks and break up the Spanish game.

The result will be a mess of a game that doesn't warrant a final or even a half descent game of football.

I could be wrong and I really hope I am.

A lot of people thought Germany would have taken Italy apart.... If Spain play like they did against France then it'll be a terrible game that could tip either way.

Holly, did you watch Italy v Spain in the groups? Exact opposite of what you say the final will be like. Italy should have won too.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

I'm not a big footy fan, but I've seen a few of the matches and I've just not enjoyed them. The England - Italy one was dull, and the obvious happened, then I saw Spain - portugal, and it was almost the same game.

I don't reckon I'm gonna watch any more.

The Italy Spain game was one of the few games I missed this tournament but these "big games" always have a way of being a wash out and barely scrapping to achieve about 1% of their over hyped potential.

I actually think the majority of games have been good. Of course there will be a couple of stinkers, but what tournament does not?

No it has been a brilliant tournament overall but so many times in football big games are a let down.

But I'm happy to be wrong so far awesome game, also this Spain side are one of the best football team I've ever seen play, they have it all.

Yeah I can see what you mean H, the last coupla of finals have been disappointing.

Like you said, brilliant game so far and a fantastic performance by Spain. Who knew that by doing a Scotland they could win a tournament!

What Spain have done is show you what happens when you play as a team, its where the England side go so wrong time after time having a one man focus.

I think we've just seen the blueprint for the future of football.

You're partly right, the thing that'd really help is having individuals with that level of technique, skill, fitness and vision. The only way that'd happen is in 10 years time if the FA overhaul the youth system to fall in line with the rest of Europe now.

Germany, France, Spain are examples of nations who have done this. England are so far behind some countries in this respect, it's embarrassing. Yet we have one of the richest leagues in the world. Some of the money that gets pumped into the PL every season should go into grass roots football.

I really hope this happens but those old duffers that run the FA are only interested in money, plus their idea's about the game are stuck in a time warp.
