Laptop question

Postby QuickBen67 on Sat Dec 10, 2011 11:42 am

Just looking to pick some brains. Starting an Open Uni course in January and I'm looking to pick up a new laptop.

Not going to be able to spend as much as I would like, so can anyone recommend a decent laptop round about the £350 mark?

Cheers

Some kind of Dell?

Don't go for an acer.. they're all rubbishly unreliable.

Don't buy it from the high street ie Dixons/Currys/PC World et al.

Windows 7 is a must, 4gb of RAM (more important than a big HDD) and and Intel core2duo (or equivalent) at the very least.

Yeah apart from the processor, Pentium is an old style of dual core and I was advised to avoid em. It would probs struggle with stuff like multi tasking (like most blokes, allegedly).

Mine, one I bought for some one else, my friends, basically everyone I've ever known about has had some trouble.

I can only speak as I find.
