Anyway either way it made for a great finish and put a smile on my face seeing Mclaren taking all the points :D

Indeed.. I'm wearing my McLaren winners top.

Lewis seemed strangely deflated though.

I think it's kinda funny, that the only way anyone can beat RBR is when they collectively f*** up *shrugs*

Nah.. they've got the fastest car but they've been beaten fair and square a number of times

Fair enough, I haven't really been watching it, but today's race was pretty good, I think I'll start making it a regular feature of my viewings

Nah.

100% Vettel.

Webber gave him plenty of room up the inside.. Vettel turned into him...

Webber gave Vettel just as much room as he needed to get past, if Vettel had held the inside line he could have completed the move through turns 12/13. He moved over on Webber, IMHO, to impose himself on a team mate who has been getting the upper hand on him over the last 3 races. Webber did nothing wrong in this situation, other than be slow through turns 9/10.

Indeed. According to the BBC forum Webber had been told to turn his engine down (for reliability) and Vettel his up.. after all he is the golden boy at Red Bull..

The claim from Red Bull that Webber was slowed for fuel saving, doesn't stack up for me. With 16 laps to complete, the lack of speed Webber showed between turns 9 and 12, that allowed Vettel to catch and attempt to pass him, would have made both Webber and Vettel easy prey for both McLaren's. I can believe that Vettel would have saved a few kilo's while running behind both Webber and Hamilton, but to say it would have made the difference between keeping and losing a place to the McLaen's seems spurious at best, and a downright lie at worst.

Either they don't really have an equal chance policy at Red Bull, or it was a royal screw up.

Fascinating race.

Schumacher shows what a total c*nt he is repeatedly.

Hamilton shows that he is the greatest driver in the world.

Red Bull shows that despite having the fastest car they haven't got the whole package.

Packed with excitement.

Discuss.

Perhaps we should make a case for each track to be used just once every 2 years, with nobody else being allowed to use it between times. The peculiar reaction of the tyres to the track was almost certainly down to there being no rubber on the surface. What a refreshing change to see drivers taking pitstops at different times to each other, and using the two tyre options during differing parts of the race. How can we make that mandatory?

Fantastic excitement all the way through, even if I had that sinking feeling as Lewis took his first pitstop so early. After Webber's last stop, I was quietly hoping the top 4 would need new tyres, just to get everyone into the same area of the track.

I must admit to feeling rather sorry for Bridgestone, they cant win. If the 'option' tyre can hold on for almost 1/2 the race, they get berated for making the tyres too good, but if there is an unexceptedly large drop off in performance, they get rapped for not developing the tyres enough.

How can Micheal Schumacher get away with it again? Twice. I thought his moves on Massa and Kubica, were just plain daft. And given his record, should have resulted in a more stringent punishment. (Even if Lewis has been reprimanded twice this season for the same transgression i.e. Taking too long to return to the pits).

Roll on Valencia. (Shame I can't make Silverstone this year, it was awesome last year.)

Inconsequentially, I see Luca di Montezemolo has been having a pop at the 'GP2 pace' teams again. I think he just wants a closed shop so nobody else can get a look in to his nice glamourous paddock. Tosser

I heard David "Redbull" Coulthard complaining about Kov's Lotus pace being the reason Webber hit him in the last race. For a start they were racing for position so if Webber can't get passed the "GP2" drivers he should watch a real driver like Hamilton overtake and take notes. Secondly having the new teams scrapping at the back with front runners getting heated trying to pass them all race is great viewing for us. The big teams need to think about the sport and not just there own teams. Silverstone this weekend should be good.

What did he say? I must have missed that interview. On a side note it was nice to see Webber flicking the verbal V's at his team on the radio after the race.

It was something to do with there being too much traffic on the circuit for him to exploit the cars full potential.. Two points Michael... there's the same amount of cars on the track for everyone and qualify a bit better and you wont be so far back.
