Best game. Red Dead. Top 5 - RDR / Bayonetta / Split/Second / Fallout / Mass Effect 2
Best character Bonny McFarlane
Worst game that people thought was good. Enslaved. Garbage.
Best multiplayer. NFS:HP
Best moment. Taking down the seven players in front of you by destroying the dam in Split Second
Best Arcade game Monkey Island 2 (closely followed by Limbo and Comic Jumper)
Worst story. Castlevania. Not for the story but the awful, awful, portentous script.

Best game - No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle - everyones favourite casual console comes along and shows us what's magic about gaming in the first place (clue it's not 1080p state of the art graphics or accusing people of being homosexual while unloading a clip into them). Bonkers characters, in a bonkers world, fight in bonkers boss battles. What's not to love?

Best character - Kazuma Kiryu (Yakuza 3)

Best gameplay. - No More Heros 2

Worst game that somehow baffled reviewers - Red Dead Redemption - A great technical achievement.. but a complete lack of game. Go here. Shoot guys, Go back. Rinse and repeat until end of campaign.

Best Arcade game - Limbo not only visually stunning but the kind of magic gameplay, like a 2D Ico it's easy to confuse the cake and icing, The graphics are sublime but it's easy to over look the perfectly balanced gameplay with great physics and puzzles.

Best multiplayer - Blur was actually the best arcade racer of the year. Perfectly balanced online game play. No matter what car or perks you've unlocked the game is balanced to perfection meaning that if you've got the skills (and a smidge of luck) then you can win. Neither [i}Split/Second[/i] or NFS:HP really understood that.

Worst story - Red Dead Redemption for this too.

The best moment - It's been a great year for games. There's been a lot of highlights.. Probably though actually going into a shop and being able to purchase a copy of GT5

So many hours of gameplay, story branches, side-quests, pointless places to go and things to find. Buggy, but not so much that it spoils my enjoyment of the game.

Looks dated, controls are clunky, it's boring. It must be crowded up Rockstar's collective arses, what with all your heads up there.

Best multiplayer - Halo: Reach
Rank up! Buy armour trinkets! OVERKILL, MOFOS!

Best moment - Getting everyone out alive after completing Mass Effect 2.

Best Arcade game - Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley
Challenging, inventive and easily the funniest game I've played in ages. If only it were a bit longer.

Worst story - Bioshock 2
The game was competent enough, but I just didn't much care for what was actually going on. "Rapture again? Oh, right."

I thought I'd pressed 'quote' so I could use the same awards and then when I pressed 'submit' imagine my utter horror when it turned out I'd pressed 'edit' instead and your beautiful (I'm creeping now) post was gone for ever.. i frantically pressed back up and still couldn't get back to the original post (silly Safari) and I almost shed a tear.. for I never knew I was capable of such foolishness.

Best game. Mass Effect 2, great story and a huge jump forward from ME1 in nearly all aspects.

Best character.John Marsden. Why did he have to die?

Worst game that people thought was good.FIFA WC2010. Buggy, unpatched cashmachine. How can the team in 3rd place qualify? Ask EA.

Best multiplayer.Red dead redemption. It was good getting a gang together and just going nuts.Hunting, shootouts,whatever.

Best moment.Completing Castlevania - enjoyed every minute and God it was hard.

Best Arcade game.Limbo, no question. I can't remember seeing anything quite like it. Black and white never looked and played so good.

Worst story. SWTFU2, awful generic save the damsel in distress hokum. It's not like there was a whole galaxy of material to use there?

Best game. Bayonetta. Nothing else came close; it had originality, amazing combat, a nice bum and didn't try and hide from the fact that it was just a game.

Best character. Erm

Worst game that people thought was good. Red Dead Redemption. It created the illusion of being good but after 15 hours of the same sh1t, just became tedious pap.

Best multiplayer. Bad Company 2. Why twitch when you can think?

Best moment. Working out how to play Battlefield online (ie. not running straight in only to die for the 47th time) and realizing just how much depth and potential is there.

Best Arcade game. Didn't buy any this year so my opinion is moot.

Worst story. Vanquish. Dunno if it was lost in translation or if something else really has a story as bad as Gears.

Yes I can. RDR looks dated, is clunky and is boring. NV just looks dated.

Best game. Halo: Reach. The pinnacle of the Halo series. Bungie left the best 'till last last.

Best character. John Marsden

Worst game that people thought was good. Black OPS, The fastest and best selling video game. That does nothing new at all.

Best multiplayer. Reach. Added just enough to make it feel different without changing the basics. Plus firefight could well be the Horde beater it always wanted to be.

Best moment. Falling in love with Halo all over again.

Best Arcade game. Risk. Taking me back to a day before video games.

Worst story. SWTFU2. "Oh my god, They Killed Star Wars"

Worst game that people thought was good. Red Dead Redemtion: I got this the same day as Split/ Second and it did not get a look in for some time. Having recently given it a fair go I come to the conclusion that it's actually really fecking dull.

Best multiplayer. NFS:HP

Best moment. Close call between Split/ Second and NFS: HP. They both give you really intense, hold your breath moments that leave you exhilerated if you pull off a move or escape someone else's

Best Arcade game Joe Danger. Addictive and a lot of fun.

Worst story. God of War III: After all the effort of the previous games, GoW III just seemed a bit lacklustre and killing ZEUS was not the challenge it should have been. Again GoW: Ghost of Sparta showed us what could be achieved with a good story.

All three Yakuza games have had uk releases. Kaz's character has always been quality he just isn't a new character this year. Moot point me-thinks.

Yeah but it's for best character in a game that was released in 2010.
