Is Halo Reach worth it?

Considering picking this up... only interested in the campaign though.. best to wait a while?

Its a strong campaign with real veriaty. Plus the Firefight mode is great.

I didnt feel cheated after paying £40 for it. Its probaly worth it in the long run for replay value and such like.

Been playing thru this, and tbh the campaign has not entirely grabbed me yet. I think I'm the on the 4th level, so maybe it will ron. I don't think it has done anything wrong, its pretty solid. It did lose about 2 hours of game time earlier, I was 3/4 the thru a level and it lost all my progress. Which is annoying.

I'm quite liking the MP however, it is not as hardcore as I thought it would be. Maybe all the twats are playing CoD. I've actually won a couple of games already, it usually takes me about a week. The other players must of been really shite! I did get blitzed on Skulls tho, which was mental and good fun.

I can't see that happening... It's too tactical and forces you to play as a squad/team in order to win.

Storywise does this carry on from the end of 3 or is separate. And, I haven't played Odst.


Tbh, I have no interest in the Cod's anymore.

Reach is a prequel... It's set before the first Halo. you'd have to read the books (if you haven't played the previous Halo games) to get the most out of the story. Gamewise though it's not a bad story.

And I haven't played COD since the first MW... They just don't interest me since BF:BC came out.

It grabbed me on the fourth level. Amazing. I found it kinda slow going on the previous levels, but I suppose that's the point? Story wise, coming from someone who has little interest in Halo, yeah it seems to be pretty good and you can tell Bungie know there stuff.

As for Bad Company, the first one's SP is a lot better than the second one. If you are not going online, I wouldn't bother. The MP is fantastic on both games, much better than COD imo.

About 8 hours. Probably longer on Legendary.

Every game has annoying people because only about 3% of the gaming community are normal unfortunately.

I wasn't refering to anyone in particular, but all the screaming, squeeky voiced, pre-pubescent kiddies have disappeared from all the other MP games... Though there are still a few playing Reach.

Not saying that they don't exist on other MP games, but COD seems to attract more of the above than the other MP games I have played.
