Who likes Halo?

Random topic people just wanted to see peoples opinions on, what i believe is, the best gaming franchise to date. Comment below what you like about halo and what you hate about it. Maybe put ur favourite halo game, vote on the poll, or the best thing you've done in halo, like for me it was where i ran into a bunch of covenants and obliterated them

TBH with ya, I prefer it massively to MW2 MP, as I can actually do pretty well in Halo

Halo Reach is the best one yet IMO. But ive always been more of a CoD fan really. The bouncyness, the weapon handling and the MP means Halo isnt as good IMO. I do like the much more tactical use of grenades/different weapons on Halo though.

With CoD you get real feedback from the weapons (through pad rumble), every bullet feels like it hurts and as such its more exiting, and frantic overall.

But both are great game series.

With CoD though, and being Mr Magoo this is one of the reasons I don't like it so much, is that it tends to boil down to who saw who first. You can literally die before you even know you've been spotted.

Halo has perfectly balanced weapons and the chance of winning even if you caught by surprise if you're good enough.

Having spent about the last week playing Reach, I've only experienced this once. And he/she kept on getting shot and came last in the game. I think the maps have been designed to prevent this from happening too much, as there is only one (that I can think off) that has a lot of open space. Of course sometimes people do over use the jet packs, but again you leave your self open to getting shot.

Haha! I love all the awards you get (yeah I know it is not unique to Reach). I personally don't like using the jetpacks, I just end up flying around aimlessly like a noob and getting Pulled all the time!

On some maps I can see there quite handy but mostly it's an invitation to just shoot them to death.

Sprint is the only one worth a light.

I've caught a few people with the hologram, which is funny as fuck watching them try and pummel it while I line em up for a headshot.

It works occasionally but it's just too technically limited to be much use.

It wont go into warps or air lifts. It wont go downstairs. You have to stand still while it does it's thing.. It's just to fiddly to be regularly useful in the heat of combat.

When it works, it is such a good tool, as JS wrote it's good if you are sniping, but for anything else, it just don't cut the mustard

I never done it when I've been sniping (cos I hardly ever snipe), it always worked for me when say when someone is shooting at me from medium range, I run back round a corner, activate the hologram, other player comes running to my hologram, I then headshot/pummel/sticky em. Of course all of the above has to be perfect as if one bit is wrong, it becomes one big cock up.
