Really?!

NFS has been pretty fucking hard for the last 2-3 games as far as achievements go. Guess they finally started to listen to the community.

The vast majority of them seem to be simply working your way through the game. I got about 200 points from just a couple of hours of play.

What exactly is 'game saving' to cheat your gamerscore, and is it still possible or have they blocked that now?

It's kinda complicated... but it was very easy to do a few years ago, i even played with it myself for awhile..

Basically you load someone else's save onto your HDD and play the game they saved to unlock achievements, some of the older games you only have to load up for 20-30 seconds to get 1000 points from..

But MS started banning people for it, They hired a few people who's sole job was to get involved with the gamesave community and destroy it from the inside, they started banning key people from live etc..

Then MS did an update to Live that made every save have a unique key that matched with the HDD it was generated on and if the key didn't match the HDD it was on then the save wouldn't load up... making swapping save files almost impossible.

Eventually the community closed down and went very quiet... except a few people trying to work a way around it, finally they cracked MS's code and now have a program that can re-write the signiture on the save game so it will work on any HDD..

The community's invite only now going pretty strong to what i can gather though i've not been there for years...

All the top gamescore whores use it, that's how people have 400k+ gamerscores...

I've had a mooch about and found out alot of people were banned using a program which let you bascially just unlock any achievement without evan having to load up the game and do it instead of using gamesaves. Some sort of profile editor which unlocked achievements and could even lock achievements that you've already done......weird.

I am looking forwards to 30,000 GS

While i wouldnt buy a game for its gamerscore - there are games that i have played longer for a bit more gamerscore (crappy FPS's mostly) COD 3 is a good example - borrowed it off a mate - played it for one night - finished it and then thought well is there any more to this game - got some more achievements and decided no - its rubbish.

As far as cheats go - apart from iddqd and anything to make Lara lose her clothes - they arent worth it.

I'm almost at 50k. Would like to land it bang on but have an annoying 16GS achievement from Luxor 2 that keeps me at .1 or .6.

I managed to land 10k bang on when playing Forza 2.

The way I'm going, I'll be able to get to 100k in about another 2 years and I'm proud to say that I've never played a game for the purpose of getting points.
No King Kongs on my gamercard :D

Ive had what id consider to be alot of games 30-40, many of which ive completed but ive no live connection at mo so those achievemnts are out.

Therefor my gamer score is low. Realistically how many games must you buy to get 50K? Just wondering, that sounds like an awful lot of time on the Xbox....

50k? 50 games obviously :P

assuming you get 1000 points in each.

It's funny actually, i was looking down my list of games the other day and you can see how i've lost interest in gamerscore as times gone on... all my games at the bottom at 1000/1000 then in the middle it's like 750/1000 and now i'm down to about 500/1000 on average.

I think once i hit that 100k mark i'm going to back to just playing games i enjoy and really want and not keep up so much with all the new releases etc etc.

Hmm - i have 64 360 games at home atmo (but i havent traded in for a while - and loads of em are rubbish) and must have gotten through another 30 + different games that have been sold on and a bunch of arcade games (obviously they didnt get sold on) - and i only have 28K gamerpoints

The new feature on the dashboard showing the games you have 1000/1000 on and how many gamerpoints you have versus how many you could have is pretty cool. It also has the number of achievements you have versus how many you could have - nice that MS is still bringing new things to the achievements system.

Oh yeah - and versus Perfect Dark Zero - King Kong was much better - even if it was only 8 easy hours of game (if that i spose for some of you vets)

Seriously though - did anyone get on with PDZ? Its just so flat and slow as a game - like a bad platform shooter but with 'areas' to move through.

I have still got Kameo lying around waiting to be played. 'sigh'

I didn't enjoy PDZ, but it was the only FPS game avaiable at launch so i ended up with the full 1000 after ages..
