Favourite Game of All Time - Any Format

I didn't play the first one but I enjoyed Shenmue 2. Definitely a unique game.

CXheers, I shall get around to that soon. I've been looking forward to mit for a while.

Shenmue 1 and 2...

Is it worth playing Shenmue 2 when I haven't played the first one or does it matter a lot due to story progression etc...

Reason being, i've got an original Xbox copy which I haven't started just in case I really need play the first one beforehand.

The Xbox version of Shenmue 2 comes with the DVD movie of the first game. It was released in cinemas in Japan!!

It's hard for me to choose my favorite game but I'll go for the ones I remember fondly (in no particular order)...

Last Ninja 2 (C64) - played this recently on an emulator and finished it in 10 minutes but played this for HOURS when I was a kid!

Halo (xbox) - the first FPS I ever got into. Utterly sublime gameplay and atmosphere.

KOTOR (xbox) - until recently my favorite ever RPG. Looks a bit ropy graphically now but shows that a good plot and strong characters will always win out.

Final Fantasy VIII (PS) - controversial but prefered this to VII. Again, was gripped more by the story and characters.

Fallout 3 (360) - I've already dribbled excitedly (from the mouth!!!!!) about this game elsewhere!

I've got a bad memory so i'm going to say Knights of the Old Republic.
That game changed me.

I'd rather KOTOR 3 than an MMO which is supposedly KOTOR 3456789!!!

Mass Effect; Changed my opinion about RPG's loved every minute of the game!
Bioshock; Such an enjoyable Game and i loved the story line.
Pokemon Gold; A large majority of my child hood was spent playing pokemon gold, Then someone stole it and my Green gameboy i was in tears for days untill i got my Gamboy Advance which didnt entertain me for very long.
Grand Theft Auto Vice City; I remember saveing up all of my money to buy GTA III from the local indie game shop, and i thought it was the Dog's Balloks untill i got Vice City, That game changed everything for me. It was all me and my friends talked about in school, how far we were in the game, How many hidden packages we collected and how we loved to get girls in our cars and drive into the water killing them all. Good times

Ah, the pokemon games.

Pokemon: Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Crystal, Ruby. All great games.

I gave up after Ruby. New ones are shit.
