Favourite Game of All Time - Any Format

Postby QuickBen67 on Sat Jan 10, 2009 2:31 pm

So what's everybodys all time fave game?

I'm torn between -

Final Fantasy 7 - When the FF game reached their peak. Awesome story, great magic system. And the Materia remains my favourite RPG power up method to this day.

and

UFO : Enemy Unknown(PC) - Squad Based Tactical Shooter where you have to stop aliens from taking over the world. Some really good resource management bits and the research options are really super - reverse engineering alien technology to upgrade your squads, disecting alien corpses do find out their weaknesses etc. Its looking a bit dated now as it was released circa 92 but I still put it on from time to time. I'd suggest to recommend it to everyone - you can still find it online to download at Home of the Underdogs

So what floats everyone else's gaming boat?

So hard to choose, but the original Resident Evil is somewhere close to the top.

I thought it'd be Call of Duty 4?

Thats a really good shout as well shepard. The awesome thing about Resi was the feeling of total isolation. You could go 10/15 mins without seeing a zombie then *BANG*

Great game :)

Oh come on you clowns.

If we're going all time then there's only one winner.

Elite on 5 and a quarter inch floppy for the BBC Model B computer.

Now there's a sexy piece of hardware.

10 PRINT "BOB IS A GENIUS";
20 GOTO 10
30 RUN

That should do the trick!

I'm torn between the likes of the original HomeWorld, Oddworld series, Mass Effect, Thief or Halo and Stalker. The most memorable games I've played.

The problem here is that some of you haven't been around long enough to have a valid opinion on the all time fave game... you're talking about your all time fave game.. there's a difference.
