I've had 2 really good interviews this week for companys that i really like the sound of.

One of them's been around for years and offers a really nice wage for what's a very simple job, the other one is a very young company with tons and tons of progression oppertunitys for someone with my experience so all being well i'll be kicking arse in a few weeks again..

I also got a phone call today from a company i've got a temp contract with (I work as and when they have work, if it suits me around interviews etc) asking me to work all next week specifically because they have a fulltime role being advertised next week that they want me to apply for so they are offering a weeks work for me to be on the books as its an internal vacancy only, the info i've been given makes me think it's a very good supervisory role too so i'm happy at the min, i just hope one of them pans out!

Well good luck, Wolfatron! Sounds like that last one's looking promising.

Makes my attempt to get from lackey to team leader look a bit tame lol, not that I'll get it.

Why not mate?..

Team Leader's nothing special, you're a smart(Ish, when it comes to games choice), you've got your shit in order, you could probably do the job with your eyes closed so why not?

I've been overlooked several times before, in a "didn't even get an interview" sort of way. Which really pisses me off when I see some of the bellends they given team leader jobs to over the years.

Then approach them and ask them why. Chances are you'll get some feedback and considering who you work for they'll feel quite obligated to give you an interview this time for "equality" and so they ain't seen as "discriminating". Use their rules to your advantage mate.

I've inquired today. The manager of the department I'm applying to be team leader for seemed pleased that I was interested (I've worked for her in the past). Apparently I have to wait a week or so before applying.
