360 gamers will die this October
October’s games calendar is set to kill your social lives, folks.
Looking forward to this October’s social festivities? Halloween’s a great excuse for a party, everyone’s up for a bit of communal gluttony in the name of Western excess on Canadian Thanksgiving day, and even Europe’s game for defying the onset of winter by donning its beer jacket for Oktoberfest. But there’s an international conspiracy afoot to steal your lives away from friends and family that starts on the first of October, with millions of square-eyed 360 gamers emerging the other side of the month wondering how 2010 suddenly became 11 months long. We had a life goddammit, and this is what we’re going to lose it it to:
1 October – Dead Rising 2:
Swatting zombies is fun – for one.
Anticipation Rating: 3/5
Social Detraction factor: 4/5
8 October – WRC FIA World Championship 2010:
Quality time with the woman is out, male bonding time is in.
Anticipation Rating: 3/5
Social Detraction factor: 2/5
15 October – Medal Of Honor:
Helping you make friends – the virtual kind – then kill them.
Anticipation Rating: 4/5
Social Detraction factor: 4/5

With Halo: Reach being released in two weeks, I don’t think I’ll make it to October.
Shouldn’t the title be all gamers? Only one game on there is for 360 exclusively. Sure Reach is out soon, but if I were writing a 360 magazine article it would be titled, “Why don’t we own PS3s yet?” subtext meaning there are 3 exclusive games worth getting for 360 in 2010.
