But I want to watch my pirated films... I mean my backed up films... damn it! You may have heard recently that a new 360 dashboard update is in the works and it may, just may, bring USB memory support with it. A nice addition in anyone's books and one gamers with the tiny 20 gb hard drives will likely thank their lucky stars for, but what about the rest? Sure, we've got Facebook and Twitter, but Microsoft could do so much ...

"Bodycount rips apart the first person shooter as genre-defining gunplay comes alive in a balletic orgy of bullets and destruction" Once again, the team behind the last-gen visceral shooter 'Black' are back on the FPS-wagon with their new title: Bodycount. Codemasters Studios, headed up by Black co-designer Stuart Black, is helping Bodycount look like a spiritual successor far more than anything else and is promising all the same press release bullet points as Black did all those years ago. Excited about upcoming FPS Metro 2033, from Ukrainian developer 4A Games? Me too! It's based on the book of the same name – and tonight, there's an opportunity to ask the author behind it all, Dmitry Glukhovsky, a few questions about the alternate history thriller.

Recently, I chatted to Capcom's Shinsaku Ohara and Blue Castle Games' Rob Barrett about the upcoming sequel Dead Rising 2. We got onto the subject of Japanese publishers working with Western developers, and the often damp results of such relationships – Dead Rising 2 won't struggle in the same way, apparently. A YouTube user known as djbetoceba has remixed the battle theme from Final Fantasy XIII. This kind of thing isn't new to YouTube, of course – but this video happens to have garnered 70,000 views before the game has even been released in the west.

10) Marcus Fenix – Gears Of War Despite being an absolute brute of a man, Delta Squad's leader has the last name Fenix. Not Phoenix, but Fenix. Man, that’s cool… 9) Joanna Dark – Perfect Dark This is supposed to sound like Jeanne D'Arc, but... that doesn't really work, now, does it? At last! A silly name for a Rare character that isn't ironic. 8.) Edge ...

Before the doors are even open, we're learning of some new juicy games... In an interview over on IGN, THQ CEO Brian Farrell (phew) has come over all game happy and confirmed that we will indeed be seeing sequels to some of the publishers biggest games of last year. That means Saints Row 3, a new Red Faction and even the Russia invades America (yet again!) Homefront. Not a bad line-up all things considered but it's interesting that he doesn't confirm Red Faction ...

Thanks Rockstar Previously PS3 exclusive title L.A. Noire has been revealed for a multi-format release confirming what many had been speculating for a while. It makes sense when you think about it too, if developers are to see a substantial return on a game, releasing it across the platforms is the best way to ensure it reaches the biggest audience possible. The previously elusive title had been under the radar for a while now but with its muted colours and stylistic art design ...

Ummm, really? But what about my PSP? In case you missed it, last night Apple revealed the future of computing and technology and that future is a pad. The iPad, from what we can gather is a big ipod touch, sort of. It'll probably be much more powerful and have tons of Aps and what not, but what does all this mean for gamers? If you've invested in Apple's iPhone you may already have some idea. No one would have thought the ...

I consider myself quite a thrifty (read: cheap) shopper when videogames are concerned. Pre-ordering a game on one website, only for another to sell it cheaper later on results in a slightly hazardous shopping experience – well, as hazardous as using a mouse and keyboard can be, at any rate.

I've completed Mass Effect 2. Actually, I completed it about a month ago, during the Christmas break. Shortly before my playthrough of the game, BioWare announced that it would be released on two discs instead of one. Rather than utilising the traditional disc-swapping method, however, the RPG uses them in a slightly different way.
